Ryan and Jen met on the dating app, Hinge, in 2015. Their first date was at Santa Monica beach, where Ryan impressed Jen with his hilarious banter and knowledge of the various grandmas in the neighborhood. After a couple of years of sunshine in Santa Monica they moved to Seattle, and they've been there ever since!

Ryan and Jen set out on an ambitious 8-day trip to hike the Bailey Traverse on the Olympic Peninsula. It was a trip to get off the beaten path and hopefully summit Mt. Olympus! On the third day in the backcountry, after we set up our tent beneath a beautiful sunset, Ryan exclaimed that he wanted sunset photos. Enjoying Ryan's enthusiasm, Jen agreed and stood on a hill waiting - clueless as to what was about to unfold. Ryan then walked over to Jen, got down on one knee and proposed. Jen said "Yes" and we were engaged! We're excited to share the next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Friday Harbor!
