The Beginning

Tammy’s Version

I had extra rodeo tickets that I was desperate to get rid of. A friend had given Edgar my number and we arranged a time to meet up so I could sell him the tickets. We arranged to meet up at an HEB gas station & that was supposed to be it. After I gave him the tickets, he invited me to go to the rodeo with him. I didn’t want to go, hence why I was getting rid of the tickets. Although I turned down the invite, I still wanted to get to know Edgar. I got in my car & drove away. I couldn’t stop thinking about how polite, charming & affable he is. When I got back home I saw that he had texted me shortly after I left the exchange. The message read, “It might sound weird but I was wondering if we can get to know each other?” We scheduled a date to the movie theater not too long after that. We left the theater & we just were not ready to leave each other for the night. Edgar made a U-Turn & we headed to the bowling alley! Our first date was everything I wanted. We got to know each other & laughed so much. Edgar & I have been inseparable since the day we met. We are so excited & anxious to have our friends & family we love see us commit our lives to each other in February of 2021!

The Beginning

Edgar’s Version

In February of 2018, one of my favorite bands was playing at the rodeo. Since I waited last minute to buy the tickets, like I do for everything, they were SOLD OUT! Well, 1 day before the concert, I got a text from a friend saying that he had a friend that was selling some tickets! I was excited! He gave me Tammy’s number and I never expected that what happen next would change my life. We setup a location and time to meet up for the tickets. I pulled into the HEB parking lot to meet this “friend”. When I saw her get out of her car, it felt like love at first sight. I thought to myself, “Damn, she’s beautiful.” Everything around me didn’t matter and she had all my attention. The way her natural hair moved through the wind on that day was just amazing. All of a sudden, she was at my truck to give me the tickets. I was so nervous and shy that I couldn’t keep myself together. I was sweating and stuttering. She took my money and I grabbed the tickets while realizing how embarrassed I was. After driving off I could not stop thinking about her. I decided to text her and take my shot. “You caught my attention and I really want to get to know you more. I would totally understand if you don’t.” *SEND* Lucky for me, she replied with, “Yes, I would love to.” After that, y’all can guess the rest of the story! I didn’t know buying a pair of tickets for a concert would take me to this moment in life... now that we are getting married, hopefully I can get my money back from the tickets!

For all the days along the way
