Charlotte is Tamar’s maternal aunt and served an instrumental role in Tamar’s upbringing. Charlotte is also Tamar’s inspiration for pursuing higher education and becoming a Registered Nurse. Charlotte became licensed as a minister on August 14, 2021. Since the first time she met Kevyn, Charlotte has embraced him as her nephew and was there to witness his proposal to Tamar. So it was only fitting that the couple asked Charlotte to serve as their officiant.
Lauren Brewer
Matron of Honor
Tamar and Lauren met during high school (McCluer South Berkeley in Ferguson, MO) in 2003 and have been besties ever since! Both of their lives have overlapped in so many ways…they started their first job together with the St. Louis Science Center at 14 years old. They also worked as waitresses at Steak n Shake and nurses at Barnes Hospital. In short, the two of them have shared lots of laughs and tears over the past 20 years so Tamar can’t say “I do” without Lauren standing by her side. Lauren is also the loving Godmother to Tamar and Kevyn’s son, Tatum.

Candice and Tamar are first cousins! Both attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO during the same time period and this really strengthened their bond. Although Candice and Tamar have lived in different cities for the past few years, they make time to hangout whenever they’re in the same area code and this has included adventures in NYC and LA!
Lauren Collins

Tamar and Lauren a/k/a Boo Boo Kitty think it’s funny when folks ask how they met because they really don’t know! Tamar recalls meeting Lauren during a Missouri Bar event back in 2015 or 2016 but Lauren doesn’t remember (which is crazy because Tamar is unforgettable). Both attended the same law school (University of Missouri-Columbia) but at different times and worked at the same law firm (Sandberg Phoenix) together for a short period of time. Lauren and Tamar are also members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority which further bonds them in sisterhood.
Sinokuthaba “Snono” Sibanda

Tamar and Snono met in 2012 while working in the trenches together as ICU nurses at Grady Hospital in Atlanta. Tamar eventually left Atlanta to attend law school and Snono moved to Rochester, Minnesota to attend nursing anesthesia school but they kept in touch. Snono and Tamar eventually both ended up in St. Louis and celebrated life at top-notch restaurants together.
Breiah Hodges

Breiah is the beautiful soul who first made Tamar an auntie. She is the oldest daughter of Bernard, Jr., Tamar’s late brother. Breiah enjoys watching and making Tik Tok videos and baby sitting her "FC" (favorite cousin), Tatum.
Kemia Hodges

Kemia is Tamar’s middle niece and only child of Tamar’s youngest brother, Travis. Kemia is a loving ball of energy and keeps her family on their toes! Like Breiah, Kemia enjoys watching and making Tik Tok videos. She also loves sleepovers with her cousins Bella and Angelica.

Angelica is Kevyn’s intelligent daughter and is crazy about her baby brother Tatum! She is so excited about being a flower girl alongside her cousins Kemia and Bella!

Bella is Tamar’s youngest niece and is the youngest daughter of her late brother Bernard, Jr. Bella is kind and a breath of fresh air! She enjoys spending time with her sister Breiah and her cousins Angelica and Kemia!
Kenneth Gandaho

Kenneth is Kevyn’s younger brother and only sibling. He enjoys traveling and playing tennis. Kenneth is also Godfather to Tamar and Kevyn’s son, Tatum.
Jaden Love

Jaden is Tamar’s firstborn child. Tamar was 17 years old when Jaden was born so the two of them have basically grown up together! Over the last couple years, Jaden and Kevyn have bonded through sports and video games.

Koffi has been the ultimate advice guru and the big brother to Kevyn. He's been his rock always there to offer a listening ear and sound wisdom.

Seth has been a true role model in Kevyn's life. From the earliest days, Kevyn has admired Seth's character and looked up to him as an example. Seth's business acumen and professionalism have left a lasting impression on Kevyn.

Travis is Tamar’s baby brother and father to Tamar’s middle niece Kemia. Travis is a natural comedian and keeps his family laughing!

Tatum is Tamar & Kevyn’s sweet baby boy, making him the youngest member of the Hodges/Gandaho household. Although he was a surprise baby, he’s brought his family so much joy and is glad Daddy is finally giving mommy their last name!
