One of the great parts of our venue is that it's only 2 miles from the iconic Patriot Place. This outdoor mall and activity area has shops, restaurants, hotels and fun things to do even when a game isn't being played at Gillette! Even though we're both NY Giants football fans, we thought this was a great hub for guests and wedding activities!
Fenway Park
Nostalgic for one of the best rivalries in sports? The weekend of our wedding the Red Sox face the Yankees! Consider catching the game on Friday or Sunday.
Rooftop at the Providence G
A go-to place for Morgan & Tam with their friends to see one of the best views of the city and amazing fire pits on a nice summer night. Great cocktails, a fun menu and live entertainment in the evening, this is a great place to add to your list of fun!
Rhode Island or Massachusetts Beaches
Known for our incredible beaches, consider going to any number of the local Rhode Island or Boston beaches! Examples include Crane's Beach, Nahant Beach, Cape Code or any in RI.
Chelo's Waterfront Hometown Bar and Grille
One of Morgan & Tam's favorite date spots for some of our favorite seafood, drinks, views and dessert! This well-known Rhode Island chain can get booked up fast for this location, so consider a reservation.
Charles River Canoe & Kayak : Allston Brighton
Tam's favorite Boston past-time - kayak, canoe or paddle board on the Charles River! Reasonably priced and beautiful to do on a warm Boston day. Multiple launch locations inside and outside Boston for a vigorous workout or leisurely way to be on the water.
Colt State Park
The location of our Engagement Photos & the place Morgan's mom hoped we'd get engaged if we hadn't opted for nerf gun fights at home. A beautiful, spacious park on the water with trails, a beach, playground and pier for fishing. A must-visit for those who haven't been yet!
Federal Hill
Providence’s historic Federal Hill neighborhood has some of the best Italian food, nightlife and fun things to do in Providence. If you go, we can suggest a number of options based on your preferences!
Boston Duck Tours Prudential Center Departure Location
One of Tam's favorite activities to suggest to folks visiting or from Boston. This is a fully narrated, historic tour of Boston in replica World War II amphibious DUKW vehicles. Each time you can learn something new, enjoy a beautiful summer day and even drive when you're in water! (You don't even have to quack at people ::cough, cough, Victoria::)
Newport
Coming for a few days? Consider a trip to Newport, Rhode Island, a coastal town with classic Colonial architecture and breathtaking New England landscapes. You can eat some fresh seafood, tour an iconic mansion, catch gorgeous water views along the Cliff Walk or simply enjoy the beautiful New England summer. Definitely a must-see for those coming from out-of-town!
