Flight
Richmond airport (RIC) is great! It's a small airport, so flight options can be limited, but the airport and service are top notch! We'll be happy to arrange pickups and drop offs for folks who opt not to have a rental car, but we definitely recommend having one to get around and see the city!
Hotel
We don’t have a block of rooms reserved, but we can recommend some good spots to stay! Here are some ideas that can accommodate any budget. If you like unique hotels, or if a rooftop bar is a requirement for your stay, try the Quirk Hotel, Jefferson Hotel, or Graduate Richmond, all in the city center. For standard fare midway between the state park and downtown activities, there are plenty of options along Midlothian Turnpike to the southwest of the city. Reach out to us with any other questions!
House Or Rental
We've rented these very rustic wood cabins, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the late 1930’s, for the whole weekend! Each cabin can sleep up to 4 people in bunk beds, features one light bulb and electrical outlet, and definitely does not have air conditioning or running water. The grouping of cabins we have rented can accommodate 28 guests, who will share a bathhouse with restrooms and hot showers. This is the closest site to our ceremony/reception location, and includes parking for guests who opt to stay here. Reach out to Karen for details on what you may want to bring!

Pocahontas State Park has an abundance of great camping options! For a small fee, you can choose tent or RV campsites, other cabins, or even yurts, all within the largest state park in Virginia! Sites feature electric and water hookups, and centrally located restrooms with hot showers. Visit the link below for more information or to reserve a campsite.

AirBnB’s are so fun, and Richmond has plenty! We’d recommend the neighborhoods of Carytown, Scott’s Addition, The Fan, or Shockoe Bottom as fun places to call your home base for the weekend!
