Richmond is such a vibrant and historic city! Have fun exploring! We'll add more favorites as we get closer.

Monument Avenue

Monument Avenue, Richmond, VA

As capitol of the Confederacy, Richmond has a wealth of history, and one of the easiest things to spot are these monuments to Civil War heroes of the Confederate States.

Hollywood Cemetery

412 South Cherry Street, Richmond, VA 23220

A lovely spot for a picnic, if you're really into history! Characterized by rolling hills and winding paths overlooking the James River, it is the resting place of two United States Presidents, James Monroe and John Tyler, as well as the only Confederate States President, Jefferson Davis. It is also the resting place of 28 Confederate generals, more than any other cemetery in the country.

The Valentine

1015 East Clay Street, Richmond, VA 23219
, (804) 649-0711

A museum of Richmond's history, all the way up to today!

Charm School

311 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23220

The best ice cream in town! Also has great vegan flavors!

The Edgar Allan Poe Museum

1914 East Main Street, Richmond, VA 23223
, (804) 648-5523

The noted author and poet is from Richmond, and his historic home is now a small, macabre museum!

Proper Pie Co.

2505 East Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23223
, (804) 343-7437

Our favorite bites in RVA! We stop in almost every week!

The Byrd Theatre

2908 West Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23221
, (804) 353-9911

Check out the historic chandelier in this incredible theater! One of our favorite spots to catch a movie.

For all the days along the way
