Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding will be outdoors in June, so it’ll be warm! Guests are encouraged to wear cocktail attire. Ladies are encouraged to wear flowy, floral, or summery dresses. For gentlemen, a suit or dress shirt with trousers is perfect. We will be outside in June in Texas, and we want you to feel confident and comfortable at our wedding.

Is the ceremony outdoors? What about the reception?

Answer

Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden. The reception will be held under a covered terrace with fans to help with airflow.

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Umlauf is an outdoor venue, so we’ll be keeping a close eye on the forecast! There is a covered terrace that our reception tables will be under. In the case it rains, we will be under the covered terrace for the entirety of the evening. We will be getting married rain or shine!

Will there be parking?

Answer

The small Umlauf parking lot (22 spots) will be reserved for vendors, family, wedding party, and setup helpers. Please do not park in the Umlauf lot unless we’ve asked you to. There is a public lot just across the street at Wright Field, but keep in mind—it’s likely to be busy on a Saturday night in June near Barton Springs. If you plan to park there, give yourself plenty of time to find a spot and walk over. A security officer will be at the crosswalk to assist guests safely across the street. We HIGHLY recommend getting dropped off or taking an Uber/Lyft. It’ll save you the stress of parking—and if you plan to drink, it’s the safest option home.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start exactly at 6:00pm, but you can start showing up at 5:30pm. Please aim to arrive early so you have time to park and find your seat before things begin.

Can I bring a date?

If your invitation or RSVP includes a plus-one, we’d love to have them join! If not, we’re keeping things more intimate to fit the space—and we really hope you’ll still come celebrate with us.

Are kids allowed?

Absolutely! We love your little ones. Please just let us know who will be attending so we can make sure to plan accordingly.

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

YES!!!! There will be chips, salsa, queso, and creamy jalapeño ranch during cocktail hour. We will be serving margaritas, beer, and wine as well as tea, lemonade, and water for non-alcoholic beverages. For dinner, we have Chuy's serving up beef/chicken fajitas and beef/chicken enchiladas. For dessert, Keelyn has made a delicious lemon curd and raspberry cake, cupcakes in the same flavor as well as chocolate. There is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy! For those who requested a vegetarian meal, we have veggie fajitas with a mix of squash, zucchini, bell peppers, roasted corn, and green chiles. Our wedding planner knows who those vegetarian meals go to.
