FAQs

Question

can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we hope that you can join us for a parent's night out! We really appreciate your understanding.

Question

what weather should I dress for?

Answer

Charleston in March can vary, so we recommend keeping a close eye on the forecast. We expect temps in the high 60s/low 70s in the day, possibly dipping to the 50s at night. Portions of the reception will be outside. The ceremony will be in a church. For ladies, we'd recommend bringing a light jacket/pashmina.

Question

I've never been to a Catholic wedding ceremony. Is there anything I need to know?

Answer

Not really. If you've been to weddings in other Christian churches, a lot of the ceremony will be familiar. Our wedding will be a ceremony, not a full mass (i.e., no communion). The Deacon will recite prayers and may ask you to repeat things back. Feel free to join in if you feel comfortable. If you see Catholic people around you doing hand gestures at certain times, etc., it's totally okay not to join in.
