This park is beautiful to walk around when the weather is nice. You can see an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline, and there's great food nearby. At one end you'll find the famous pizza places, Grimaldi's and Juliana's (Juliana's is better) and the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, which has great locally made ice cream. You can also cross the Brooklyn Bridge, if you're up for a walk (Hot Tip: NYC locals stay out of the bike lane when taking their pictures!).
This is Brooklyn's version of Central Park, by the same designer. We like it better, but we might be biased. At the entrance on Grand Army Plaza you'll see the Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Arch and the central branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, which was designed to look like an open book. There's also a Farmer's Market at the entrance every Saturday until 3pm!
