Wedding Party

Meet our friends and family who love us SO MUCH that they were willing to be a part of our wedding!

Katie Stone

Bride

Presumably if you guys are reading this you are looking for some interesting tidbits that swing between snarky and snappy, and boy do I have the content for you. Hopefully you all know who I am, but if not, hello! Tis I, Katie, The Bride, current resident of Portland, Or, and married to Thomas Warner. Full time Grad Student, part time yoga teacher, all around charming and delightful individual. Go To Re-Read Book: Garden Spells

Tom Warner

Groom

Presumably most of you know Tom. He's pretty great. We met while working at Barnes and Noble, he was the upstairs Toys and Games lead, I was the downstairs Toys and Games lead, it was pretty much meant to be. He gave me his number, I asked him out for drinks after work, we bought a house and adopted a dog and 6.2 years later here we are, getting married! So you could say it's a pretty typical boy meets girl kind of story. Favorite Literary Quote: " No amount of intelligence can save you from stupidity." -Tibor Fischer

Eleanor Roy

Maid of Honor

Eleanor and I met while working at Barnes & Noble in Encinitas, California, and became quickly inseparable. We moved up to Oregon together a couple of months after becoming friends, and like to joke that we had a platonic elopement when we ran off to live in the ever rainy and liberal Portland, OR. We've been living together ever since, and she is an excellent platonic life partner. Favorite Literary Genre: Science Fiction/Fantasy

Amanda Stone

Matron of Honor

Amanda is my beloved sister. We grew up in San Diego together, and I have a million and one cherished memories of her being an awesome big sister. She is one of my best friends, my rock, and my inspiration. I love her so very muchly, and I'm honored to have her stand up for me, especially because she is currently working her way through an accelerated nursing program in Southern California AND raising two kids! Can we say Wonder Woman?? Favorite Book: The Power of Now

Madigan Warner

Bridesmaid

Madigan is Tom's (and my, now) oldest niece, currently attending Arizona State in preparation for taking over the world. Her hobbies include being awesome, fashion, eyebrows, and ganging up on Tom with me. She and Reagan pretty much adopted me into the family the minute we met, and then had an excellent time berating Tom in marrying me, which meant that I got to sit on the sidelines and eat popcorn while Tom attempted to defend himself against two teenage girls. I defy you to find someone who wouldn't enjoy watching that show. Favorite Book: Stargirl

Reagan Warner

Bridesmaid

Reagan is Tom's (and now my) younger niece, who is also superfantastic. Seriously, how did I end up with such awesome in-laws? She is currently attending college in Arizona, and she is an incredibly smart and kind young woman, in addition to being an A+ makeup artist. She and Madigan have been some of my firmest supporters in convincing Tom to lock me down. If you ask her nicely, they might recreate the Single Ladies dance that they did at Christmas one year in an effort to get Tom to propose. But only if you ask nicely. Most Recommended Book: Twilight

Bruce Richards

Best Man

Tom and Bruce met in sophomore year at East Jefferson HS in Metairie, LA. They have been friends ever since, they even survived being roommates at college together, twice! Despite the fact that they live on different sides of the country, Tom and Bruce stay close friends largely due to a shared love of the LSU Tigers, trivia, Mardi Gras and beer. They currently have a competition to see who can visit the most counties, because men are weird. Bruce loves his local sports teams, his boat, and his family.

Mark Williams

Groomsman

Tom and Mark met while in 10th grade at East Jefferson HS. He is one of the few people with the dubious claim to fame of having been in the book business longer than Tom! He and Tom were also roommates during Mark's stint living in the Pacific NW. Tom and Mark still regularly bond over their mutual loves of sports, trivia, and current events, and a mutual hatred of retail.

Dan Warner

Groomsman

Dan is Tom's younger brother, they met when he came home from the hospital, and neither Tom nor his sister were particularly impressed. He has really grown on them both in the intervening years. Dan and Tom both graduated from LSU, as did Dan's marvelous and fantastic wife Stacy. They share an impressive amount of school pride for the LSU Tigers. Dan is mostly coming to the wedding to keep an eye on his two daughters, who are both in the bridal party. He, as well as the rest of the groomsmen, is very grateful that the wedding is not interfering with football season. You are all welcome. That was totally on purpose. Go To Literary Genre: History

Dan Stone

Groomsman

Dan is younger brother to the bride ( that's me, who are we kidding, you guys know who's writing these blurbs) and he also got married during COVIDl! Be sure to offer him and his delightful new wife Cassidy some congratulations, in addition to getting married they both also graduated from med school, and are working as residents during a pandemic! So maybe some congratulations and a stiff drink are in order. Dan is an outdoor enthusiast who also enjoys running long distances and is headed towards a career as an amazing ER doc. He is also a top notch little brother, and I love him and am very proud of him. Favorite Book: Stiff, by Mary Roach

Jenna Belghazi

Flower Girl

Jenna is my beautiful niece, and Amanda's younger daughter. She currently goes to middle school, and loves Frozen, L.O.L Dolls, and her cool Aunty Katie. She is very excited to be a flower girl again, and we are both excited to get double uses out of our fancy dresses.

Noah Belghazi

Ring Bearer

Noah is my nephew, and Amanda's older son. He initially said yes to being the ring bearer when he thought it was going to involve a bear costume, and then graciously agreed to still do it after he found out that wasn't going to be the case. He loves Fortnight, cooking, and visiting his favorite Auntie in Portland.
