It all started in 2011, in a place most love stories don’t begin—between the ringing of class bells and crowded hallways filled with backpacks, whispered gossip, and awkward teenage energy. Before we even knew each other’s names, we had nicknames for one another—“10th Grader” (Eboni') and “11th Grader” (Kenny). That’s all we knew back then: grade levels and a shared spark we hadn’t yet understood. Every day, Kenny would walk Eboni' to class. It seemed small at the time, but those short walks became the foundation of something much bigger. In those moments—through stolen glances, shy laughter, and quick goodbyes—we were unknowingly building the first bricks of a bond that would shape the rest of our lives. What began as playful banter and teenage crushes quickly evolved into late-night phone calls, inside jokes, and a friendship rooted in honesty, warmth, and trust. We didn’t realize it right away, but we were falling for each other in the safest, most beautiful way—slowly, steadily, and deeply. As the years passed, so did the seasons of our lives. We graduated, grew, stumbled, and soared—always coming back to each other. From sharing our dreams to facing our fears, we became each other’s safe haven.
