FAQs

Question

When is the latest I can RSVP?

Answer

Sunday, April 3, 2022. We will be unable to allow any extra guest after this date- thank you for understanding.

Question

Can I come if I just don't eat?

Answer

Sadly, no. Our wedding is invite only, and we have the tables/seating spread out by families. We are so honored that you'd like to support us, but please respect our wishes.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, then no.

Question

What is the deal with "Weather Permitting" on the invites?

Answer

If the weather is nice (and has been for the prior 2 days) the wedding will be held outside at the gazebo, with the reception following at the Assembly Hall. These locations are about 100 yards apart. If the weather is less than perfect, both the ceremony and reception will be held in the Assembly Hall.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only requests are that you not take photos during the ceremony (we've hired a fabulous photographer to do this) and that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #BecomingTheGibsons so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know beforehand if you plan on bringing them.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose. Please note, the ceremony will be held outdoors, if the weather permits.

Question

Do I need to wear a mask/be vaccinated?

Answer

We would prefer if our guest were vaccinated. However, we will request that you wear a mask during the ceremony due to the ongoing pandemic.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5:00, so we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early. Please note that there is a flea market that is only open on the weekends, that causes some traffic congestion.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We did not reserve a block of rooms as we were unable to meet the minimum requirements. We would recommend either Days Inn by Wyndham Lebanon or Hilton Garden Inn Mt. Juliet

Question

How many guests will be attending?

Answer

35-40

Question

What happens between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Honestly, this depends on the weather. If we're able to have an outdoor wedding, we'll begin our photoshoot, while our guest watch, look around the State Park (it's beautiful), or head to the reception area and find their seats. If our wedding is indoors, we'll do the champagne toast right after the ceremony. We'll enjoy a glass with you, and then head off for the photoshoot. This will give you all time to mingle and finish the bottle at your table if you please. There will also be sparkling cider for those who do not want to drink and/or are underage.

Question

What time is the reception scheduled to end?

Answer

The reception is scheduled from 6-9.

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

Something near and dear to our hearts, Tacos & Margaritas!

Question

I have questions that haven’t been addressed here – who should we contact?

Answer

Text Talesia at 517-303-6909.
