We actually lived in the same apartment complex, and would frequent the same restaurants/stores, we moved out within a month of each other and that was that. Later that year, we ran into each other in Kroger, and Curtis asked for Talesia's number. Long story short, we've been together ever since their first date.

We took a trip to Chicago in 2020, and after celebrating his Birthday, we took an Uber home. The driver asked us if we were married, and we said no, and then asked if we were planning on it, which was also a no. He later said "You two will be married, I can see it.". We discussed it that night, and decided he was likely correct.

He proposed at our favorite spot by the river! This has been our favorite place since we bought our home.
