First of all, we are SO grateful you will be sharing our day with us. Secondly, here is some information to help navigate the virtual aspect of our wedding: - Please dress up, have drinks prepared, and be ready to enjoy just as you would do if you were there in person. - There will be a time for guest speeches, but be sure to keep them short and sweet so we can get through everyone. - Clear a space for dancing, and don't be afraid to bring some props to add some fun! Here are a couple of technical things to note: - Download zoom and test out prior to Wedding - Please log in on time, as our moderators may not be able to let you in if the ceremony is underway - For the best viewing experience, log into Zoom from your computer - Our moderators will have everyone muted during the ceremony, so sit back, relax, and enjoy - Please do not pass our Zoom code along to anyone else as Zoom limits the number of guests able to view at once. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
We love your kids—we really do. But we are only allowing children if your invite specifies or if we have told you directly.
On the RSVP, please make note of any dietary restrictions or allergies (and specify if restriction or allergy).
Let's call it "wine country chic." Translation: wear your swankiest, loveliest cocktail attire! But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose. Ladies, the ceremony is on an old brick paved patio and dinner is on the grass, choose your shoes wisely. It cools down at night, we suggest a light jacket or sweater.
A whole bunch of stuff! The big attractions around here are the amazing wineries, some truly great local restaurants, antiquing (yes!) and generally relaxing California-style. Check out our “Things To Do” page for some specific recommendations as well as the article below: https://www.laweekly.com/los-alamos-road-trip-the-future-of-food-in-an-old-western-town/
Yes, check out our Travel + Accomodations page for hotel recs.
Usually, beautiful. At this time of year, it can also get a bit chilly after dark -- so we recommend everyone bring a jacket or throw for the evening. But don't worry, we'll also have plenty of space heaters on-site.
Gorgeous. It's one of the reasons we love it here. Headed north from Santa Barbara, you can take the 101 up the coast straight to Los Alamos (exit 154). Or you can take CA-154 highway through the San Marcos pass by Lake Cachuma (which will take you to the same exit). Both routes are beautiful (though we're partial to Lake Cachuma!)
We'll be hosting a welcome dinner at Full of Life Flatbread, so please make sure to RSVP to that on the RSVP page if you will be attending.
Good question -- no, there is not. If you're staying somewhere in town, everything is within walking distance. If you're staying at a hotel outside of Los Alamos, you should plan on driving to the ceremony (Ubers and ride share are hard to come by up here).
Yes! There is ample parking along Bell St., and there's a lot next to the Union Hotel for our guests. (in short, it's not LA and you don't have to carry quarters!)
