We met on a dating app called Bumble, and from the very beginning, something just felt right. For our first date, we went to Olive Garden, and later that night we spent hours talking, laughing, and getting to know each other, and neither of us wanted the night to end. From that moment on we were inseparable.
Alex thoughtfully planned the entire day from start to finish. We began by driving to Grand Rapids, where we met our friends at Frederik Meijer Gardens. We spent the day surrounded by beautiful flowers and art, taking our time and simply enjoying being together. Afterward, we had lunch at Monelli's Italian Grill and Sports Bar before heading to the Zoo Lights that evening. Taky has always loved lanterns, so from the moment we arrived, she was completely in awe. As we walked through a glowing tunnel filled with Chinese lanterns, she asked for a video of herself walking through it. She turned to pose, smiling for the camera, and in that moment everything felt perfectly ordinary. But when she turned back around, Alex was down on one knee. After she said yes, the night turned into a celebration filled with love, laughter, and our closest friends, making it a moment we will never forget.
Taky and Alex purchased their first home in the summer of 2024. They are excited to create lasting memories and eventually start a family there. It's the perfect starter home, and they have been enjoying homeownership.
Thank you for your understanding as our wedding plans have changed from Punta Cana to Michigan. With summer quickly approaching, many waterfront venues were already booked, so we secured what was available on short notice. We know the date is coming up quickly and completely understand if you’re unable to attend, but we truly appreciate your support and excitement as we celebrate this special time.
