Connor and I met in January of 2015. I had had a crush on him since 8th grade, and he had absolutely no idea I existed. So when I was talking trash on the Cowboys on twitter one day, Connor decided to call me out on it. That was the beginning. We went on our first official date in late January 2015, and dated long distance for the next 10 months. And then, we broke up. Long distance just wasn't working and we both thought our relationship had just run it's course. So we were apart for four months. Not once did we stop thinking about each other. We saw other people, but it wasn't the same. Then, in late April 2016, he came home. He asked if I would be willing to talk, I said yes. He took me to a Rangers game (because he knows me oh so well) and that was that. We got a dog together in June 2016, moved into our first actual apartment together in April 2017, and got engaged in June of 2018. He proposed to me at the Belmont Hotel in Dallas, with the entire city behind us. He said "I love you. You're my best friend. Will you marry me?" I of course sat there and just kept repeating 'Are you for real?!" It was the best day. Thank you to everyone who has loved us and supported us every step of the way. We can't wait to get married.
