Our Story

Hannah's Point of View

We met for the first time during freshman year when we were sitting in awkward silence waiting for Sunday school to start after the Bibles dropped us off. Between the two of us, I am pretty sure I was the one who said "Hi" first. Honestly, I did not really think we would really interact except when getting picked for church each week. Eventually, we started getting lunch with each other after Theology on Tuesdays and Thursdays because we finally realized we were in the same class together. We would spend hours talking about the things we liked, disliked, what games the other one was into, and anything else in between. After getting to know Tait, I quickly started to consider him a friend. He eventually applied to CrossRoads Camp to work for that summer because me and my friends would not shut up about it. Me and him became best friends at camp and, it was no surprise, that I started forming a crush on him. I loved seeing his heart for people, kids, music, and missions that summer. Everyone kept saying that he liked me too, but I kept denying it because there was no way that he cared for me more than just as a friend. We end the summer continuing to talk to each other practically everyday till we both get back to campus, still thinking he did not like me. God had other plans though. Throughout that fall semester, there were late night talks, carpooling to church, serving together in the youth, making excuses to see him perform at football games, homework sessions, Taco Bell runs, movie or game nights, and opening up to him more than I had with anyone else. All the while still believing that he did not like me in that way. After spending almost the whole fall wondering if he liked me or not, I finally got the courage to tell him how I felt about him. Thankfully, he felt the same way. He asked me out on our first date and to be his girlfriend on November 28, 2022. Not too long into the relationship, I knew that he was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. He is kind, caring, funny, talented, and loves the Lord so much, how could I not want to spend my life with him?! He has loved me more than I ever thought anyone would and in ways that I did not even know I could be. Tait is my best friend. Since dating, we have done a lot of homework together, visited to NC and Richmond a good amount of times, I have been to nearly every football game, I have gotten him into soccer, been on many adventures together, and have tried our best to pursue God with all that we have. When he got on one knee and asked me to marry him on February 10th, I could not say yes fast enough! It was the easiest "yes" I have ever said. I cannot wait to see where this next chapter of our lives takes us and what God has instore for us too. Thank you for being a part of this special day. I am marrying my best friend soon!!!!!!!

Our Story

Tait's Point of Veiw

We met pretty early in our freshman year at Liberty. We were both going to church with Lydia Bible, and since neither of us had a car, we would ride with the Bibles. We didn't really get to know eachother well until that summer when we both worked at camp together. During that summer, I learned how amazing Hannah really is. She is such a fun and kind person. I loved getting to work with her, and to see her heart for ministry. The semester after that, we started dating. The two years that followed felt like they went by in an instant. It became clear to me during that time that there is no one that I would rather spend my life with. I spent the next couple of months planning the proposal, and then on February 10th, she said yes! I can't wait to marry you, Hannah! You are such a blessing!
