Travel Note
The island can get congested with traffic very quickly! Please pay attention to travel times. The H1 from Honolulu through the North Shore can be very congested from 2-6 and you can be stuck on some roads for a couple of hours. This also applies to the Kamehameha Highway during certain times of the day through the North Shore. Plan accordingly and reach out if you need any help!

There are some areas where you may be vulnerable to high theft and traveling and staying in areas with high populations of homelessness. My best advice is to keep your nice things out of plain sight in your car and keep things locked in your trunk to avoid theft. Leaving your things unattended at the beach can be a big risk as well!

The island of Hawaii is so so beautiful, but has had lots of issues with tourists who are disrespectful. Abide by rules and clean up after yourself and loved ones at beaches. Don't touch the turtles. Or you'll end up on tik tok. People are very nice drivers here, so be kind and patient and enjoy being on island time :)
