Sylvia & James

    Alls-Ruth Wedding 2021
    Wedding Party

Wedding Party

The ladies and gents that will help us celebrate our big day!

Elise Alls

Maid of Honor

Hey Google, play Brandy "Best Friend." Elise Alls, affectionately called "Leesh" by her bride-to-be baby sister, is Maid of Honor. One of Sylvia's first memories of her sister is the two of them living in their childhood home on Tybee Island. From the inevitable sibling fights to the deep and late night conversations, hugs and endless inside jokes, Sylvia is overjoyed to have her big sister by her side on her wedding day. She can confidently say that Elise is the best big sister any little sister could ever ask for. They'll be "kekekekekek"ing the whole day!

Josh Olive

Best Man

Josh, the Best Man, the Big Bro, the Cousin; we talk literally everyday. He introduced me to gaming and anime. We have many stories from our childhood, whether it was me visiting him or him coming and staying with us. He's always been there when I needed someone to talk to or needed advice on something. He has always been in my corner.

Terriny Thompson

Matron of Honor

Terriny "T-Dog" Thompson and Sylvia first met back in 2017 when Terriny was dating her now husband. After finding out that Terriny was a fan of The Office, their friendship blossomed into a sisterhood. Sylvia appreciates Terriny's wisdom and her never-ending always perfect comedic timing. Sylvia always looks forward to T introducing her to new Netflix shows and tasty new recipes. Sylvia has enjoyed their mini advenutes and looks forward to create more on her wedding day.

Arron Beeks

Groomsman

I met Arron and another groomsman at a pool party in 2009. We hung out, playing basketball every Friday and Sunday. We all started to go to Atlanta and Charlotte for parties and events. We've all had long conversations outside of the gym and inside Waffle House. Arron is one of my closests friends who always has a positive saying or a civil answer to a problem. That's my bro and I'm glad I can have him with me on this day.

Naya Williams

Bridesmaid

Naya Williams and Sylvia first met in 2016 through mutual friends and have been rocking ever since. Sylvia has enjoyed watching her "little sis" grow into the young woman she is becoming. From using her youth to persue spiritual goals to always being there for her loved ones, Naya has shown so many just how big her heart is. Sylvia remembers fondly their car rides around the "Pote" listening to music. She is looking forward to celebrating being a new bride with her "turn up" partner.

Philip Pronk

Groomsman

Philip "Uncle Phil" Pronk. We met while playing football when I first moved to Greenville. We really didn't hang out much until about five years ago. He's very blunt and not afraid to tell you when you're wrong, which is something I respect. He is also very genuine, just a few qualities I look for in a true friend. He is very supportive and, even though he's younger than me, he is very mature. We have had a lot of adventures and stories for days and have done some pretty epic things and I'm glad he will be here for one more epic event.

Kandis White

Bridesmaid

Kandis White, Sylvia's cousin, will share in the joyous occasion as a bridesmaid. She has always looked up to her cousin as the "fly girl." There isn't enough space to mention all of her favorite memories with her cousin (forming several girl groups, fighting over who was going to be "Beyonce" and the summer of 2003) but she is sure to enjoy making new ones with her cousin on her big day. Sylvia can't wait to bring in her new life with Kandis, and she can't wait to get glammed up with her either. XOXO

Brice Farrow

Groomsman

I met Brice while playing basketball. We didn't hang out until we saw each other at a wedding of a mutual friend. We roomed together a few times for the assemblies and ate Cook Out almost everyday. He's another person who can give good advice and give a different perspective that I might not have thought of. He and his wife Carmen have been a big help for me and Sylvia during our courtship, engagement and wedding planning. They've both helped us to maneuver through planning and getting used to starting our life together and I really appreciate them for that.

Precious Nnadi

Bridesmaid

Precious "Presh" Nnadi and Sylvia first met as teenagers in Atlanta, GA. The two have watched each other bloom into young women, cheering for one another over their many successes and lending a shoulder, ear and hug when faced with life's difficulties. Though their friendship is spent four hours away, their love and appreciation for one another has continued to grow over the years. Sylvia's dear friend will also become a new bride soon and she is so excited for her! Sylvia is glad that Precious will be present and a part of her special day.

James Eison

Groomsman

James "Walt" "Bill Ocean" Eison. We've known each other since grade school. We started off as the biggest rivals, literally arguing all the time and being extremely competitive with each other. Even with all of that being said, if anyone outside of the group messed with someone, James was the first to have your back, including me. We claim we are nothing alike but we have a lot in common, both of us choosing a career path where we have to work with our hands and usually fixing other people's problems; this must be a result of us growing up in the country. My bro Billy Ocean, I'm glad he'll be able to come and share this day with us.

Daveona Herrington

Bridesmaid

Daveona "D- the D stands for diva" Herrington first met Sylvia in 2015. After working together out in the ministry, the two have become great friends over the years. Sylvia has always loved Daveona's sense of style and fashion and confidence. One of the many things that Sylvia admires about her friend Devi is her honesty; Daveona is sure to always tell her truth, and season her words with salt :-) Daveona is also to be married soon and Sylvia is delighted to have Dee and her fiance witness and celebrate her wedding day.

Kyle Johnson

Groomsman

Kyle was one of first people I met when I moved to Greenville. We met and instantly started hitting the road. I remember us showing up to parties we weren't invited to and meeting people from all over. Kyle has been a consistant friend since I've met him and having a friend who is a master barber has it's perks. He's another person who I ran the court with; we even travled quite a bit playing basketball in other cities. I'll never forget the advice he's given me over the years, even the pep talk he gave me before I proposed to Sylvia. His words will help me far into the future. Kyle is my brother and good friend.
