We found this term on the internet (LOL) and decided it fit our "idea" the best! We decided we'd like to have an intimate ceremony, with just the two of us, but we still wanted to get our friends and family together to celebrate. We know it's "typical" to do the party AFTER getting married, but we decided that this fall would be the best time for us. We know it's a little unorthodox, but we wanted to celebrate with everyone still without the normal "wedding day stress."
No, we will not be having a wedding ceremony at this party. We will have toasts, a cake cutting, drinking, and dancing as well as a late-night-after party! So think of all the fun parts of the wedding ....without the "boring" stuff :)
Absolutely not! We provided a registry for convenience only, for those who knew they wanted to gift us something. We really just want to see everyone there!

Yes! The venue has a ton of parking. If you need ADA accessible parking, please reach out to us beforehand so we can ensure we have some parking saved for you up front. PLEASE, if you are planning on drinking, arrange a ride!
Absolutely! We will have a full buffet-style dinner available as well as snacks and dessert. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know :)
Please arrive no later than 6PM, we will have a toast and other fun things at the beginning of the evening so don't miss out on the fun!

Please know that the venue we chose is very limited so please only bring a guest if they are on your RSVP form :)
If we get enough interest, we will provide transportation from the venue (in Free Union) to Downtown Charlottesville. Please note that if you drive to the event in Free Union, you will be responsible for getting back to the venue or getting your car in the morning. Your best bet would be to carpool/uber/taxi to Glass House Winery and let us take you downtown later where you can get to your accommodations from there. PLEASE we want everyone to have fun, but be safe and do not drink and drive!
