Sydnie's POV: My good friend and extremely talented photographer, Hannah Peterson, reached out to me in late February asking if DJ and I would be willing to be in a photoshoot she was doing for a friend of hers. Hannah and I have known each other since high school, I've done probably half a dozen photoshoots with her at this point, so I thought nothing of it when she asked and of course I was delighted to! Fast forward to April 10th, I got dressed (in a dress that Hannah picked out for me!) and as we pulled up to Wood Ridge Farm Brewery, DJ was acting cool as a cucumber as we made our way to the photoshoot location. The photoshoot was meant to be for a florist friend of hers who was redesigning her website, so when we showed up to a beautiful half-moon shape of flowers on the ground, I still had no clue as to what was about to happen! Hannah said "OK, you two stand there and I'll just be here taking some test shots." That's when DJ looked me in the eyes, and immediately his hands started shaking and I knew something was up. He then whispered "I need to tell you something" and got down on one knee and I instantly started crying. He completely surprised me! Little did I know he had this put in motion months in advance, planning everything with the florist, the photographer and even having the ring for almost 5 months! We are so happy that you all will be here to help us celebrate our marriage!
