Sydney and Trevor met through the most romantic means possible: Tinder. Trevor opened with the line "Happy 4th of July!", and the rest was history. Quickly after meeting, they realized they were both super-seniors in the engineering school at the University of Minnesota. They even learned that they had the same, awful freshman year physics professor as well as many mutual friends, so it was strange that their paths hadn't crossed until then. Ever since, Sydney and Trevor have shared many experiences together, like quarantining for COVID, binge watching Game of Thrones, graduating college, moving in together, running a marathon, traveling many places, including Hawaii and Alaska, and much more. Currently, they live in South Minneapolis with their two cats, Zoe and Theo, where they enjoy taking walks around Lake Nokomis and visiting breweries with friends. With all of the wonderful experiences they've had so far, they are excited to celebrate their love and are looking forward to all of the adventures still to come!

In February of 2023, Sydney and Trevor were on the North Shore of MN for a ski and snowboarding weekend at Lutsen Mountains with their friends. Sydney may have been slightly suspicious that Trevor was planning something since Sydney's friends randomly asked her to get her nails done before the trip, which she never does. After a fun weekend of skiing and being with friends, the group stopped in Grand Marais to get breakfast before going home. After breakfast, Trevor suggested that they go on a walk by the frozen water of Grand Marais Harbor, where he (sort of) surprised Sydney and asked her to marry him. She of course said yes!
