Road closure impacting travel to the venue

The southern portion of Topanga Canyon Blvd (State Route 27) is closed due to a recent landslide. This will affect those of you traveling from the Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey areas and may increase your travel time. Please approach and depart the venue from the north. Google Maps accurately reflects the road closure, but may suggest you take a southern route. We advise against this, as the southerly alternate routes are on winding, poorly lit mountain roads. We recommend sticking to the northern route that is on major freeways, especially at night. We are recommending that guests gather at White Harte Public House, a bar and restaurant in Woodland Hills from 4-5pm on May 10. This bar is only 20 minutes from our venue. Getting to the Venue

Allow yourself *plenty* of time to get to the venue. Please be aware that the closure of Topanga Canyon Blvd. may impact your route, plus it'll be a Friday afternoon with notorious LA traffic. We welcome you to arrive at 5:15pm, get settled, and sign our guestbook before our ceremony starts at 5:40pm! We will be providing transportation to and from the wedding with an event code with Lyft. Read below for more details on using the Lyft code. For those choosing to drive, the venue offers valet parking for $8. Please be aware that the road to the venue is a winding, hilly route with minimal lighting. Use your best judgment when deciding whether to drive, especially if you plan to drink!

Using the Lyft Code

We have arranged for a $100 Lyft code for each guest party, to be used on Friday May 10. This code will work for getting to and from your accommodations, White Harte Public House, and the Inn of the Seventh Ray. Flight

Getting to Southern California

We recommend flying into LAX. It will be a short ride from the airport to the Marina Del Rey or Santa Monica areas. Rideshare and cabs are widely available to get from the airport to your hotel.

Hotel

Hotel recommendation 1: Marina Del Rey Marriott

We have a block of 10 King rooms at the Marina Del Rey Marriott. Must book by April 9, 2024. $275 plus taxes and fees (currently 12.00% Occupancy Tax, 3.00% Marina del Rey Tourism Tax, and a $0.65 California Tourism Fee). Parking: $32 overnight or $21 day use (no in-and-out) (discounted rate). Contact us if you need a different room type

Hotel

Hotel recommendation 2: The Gateway Hotel Santa Monica

We don’t have a room block at this property (they don’t offer those) but this hotel seemed like a great option because of its location, price, and friendly staff. Online rate for 1 King or 2 Queens: $249 at the time of our research (rate may be different when you book) ***Tip: Call and ask for manager’s rate or if the hotel is running a promotion*** For example, when we spoke to their reservations department the rate over the phone was $211. Never hurts to call and ask :) Taxes and fees: 15% occupancy tax and two small tourism fees (~$6) Parking: $16.50 (overnight) Please book directly with the hotel rather than going through a third party like Expedia for the best rate and customer service. Ask for the reservations department.
