Question

Will I be impacted by the closure of the southern portion of Topanga Canyon Blvd.?

Answer

A recent landslide has caused the southern portion of Topanga Canyon Blvd. (State Route 27) to be closed. If you are staying in the Santa Monica or Marina Del Rey areas, you will be impacted and will need to take an alternate route to the Inn of the Seventh Ray. This may increase your travel time, so please plan accordingly. Please approach and depart the venue from the north. Google Maps accurately reflects the road closure, but may suggest you take a southern route. We advise against this, as the southerly alternate routes are on winding, poorly lit mountain roads. We recommend sticking to the northern route that is on major freeways. We are recommending that guests gather at White Harte Public House, a bar that's only 20 minutes from the venue, prior to the ceremony. Please see our Event Schedule page for more details.

What time should I arrive at the venue? When will the ceremony start?

Answer

We welcome you to arrive at the venue at 5:15pm. Our ceremony will begin at 5:40pm. Allow yourself *plenty* of time to get to the venue. Please be aware that the closure of Topanga Canyon Blvd. may impact your route, plus it'll be a Friday afternoon with notorious LA traffic.

What's the weather like in May?

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, jackets and slacks, or suits. The ground at the venue is made of cobblestone and brick, so we recommend chunky heels or wedges rather than stilettos. The venue has heat lamps and indoor space with a fireplace, but if you chill easily we recommend bringing a light jacket.

What if it rains?

The majority of the venue is covered by tented canopies.

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

We don't think so! Rideshare and cabs are easy options for getting to/from the airport and around town. We are providing transportation (via a Lyft rideshare code) to be used on Friday May 10. Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The bar will serve beer, wine, and hard seltzers. There will also be non-alcoholic beer and a variety of other non-alcoholic beverages.

No, Sydney and Taylor will both be keeping their last names!
