FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Mass will start promptly at 5:00pm. Please plan to arrive and be seated no later than 4:50pm

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception has two dedicated parking lots, one in front of the church and one behind the church. Old St. Andrews is walking distance to two major parking garages. Both venues offer plentiful street parking.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please only bring a date if your invitation indicates that a guest has been invited. Unfortunately space is limited at our reception venue.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are completely welcome! However, please understand that the ceremony will be a full Catholic mass and will last over an hour. We love all the kiddos in our life but we also know some of them are wiggle worms and will not be able to sit still or stay quiet for an hour. The reception will also run late and we will only be serving light appetizers so the kids may not necessarily have a fun time at the reception but they are welcome to come.

Question

I've never been to a Catholic wedding, how does it work?

Answer

We will have programs available to help guide you through the Mass. If you cannot kneel or stand for extended periods please do not worry, you may stay seated. Only practicing Catholics may receive Communion, however all guests are welcome to approach with their arms crossed over their chests to receive a blessing. We hope that all of our guests will appreciate and enjoy the experience of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.
