Yes! We will have dinner and desserts during the reception. We will have tea and water during dinner, and coffee will be served during dessert. There will be no alcohol served at the reception, but the lodge does have a bar if you are interested. It is card or cash. We just ask that if you go to the bar, to limit yourself to one to two drinks.
We will have salad and vegetable sides for guests with special diets.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal with a mix of Sunday church attire. We know that the weather will still most likely be warm, so dress comfortably!
September in TN is usually still in the 70s-high 80s. You will most likely not need a jacket, but a light one if any. There might be a cool wind. We will update weather when it is closer to time!
Both will be held at Montgomery Bell State Park. Weather permitting, our ceremony will be held at the office pavilion at the front of the park. There’s maps of the park in the park office which is the first right, when entering the park. If it does rain, our ceremony will be held in the same place as our reception. The reception will be held in the Acorn Pavilion. The acorn pavilion is right beside the Lodge. However, there is a parking lot with plenty of spaces right above the pavilion. Feel free to park there if you are not staying the night at the lodge. You can find the addresses for our entire wedding on the schedule page of our website.
Again, weather permitting the ceremony will be held outdoors by the woods at the park office pavilion. The reception will be held under a large pavilion by the lodge. It is covered incase of rain.
After the ceremony, the wedding party will take some family portraits with the photographer. Guests can head straight to the reception pavilion where beverages and appetizers will be served.
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly!

We recommend that you arrive a half hour to an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled! The ceremony will be at 5 PM. If you are coming from work and cannot make it to the ceremony, the reception will begin at 6 PM.
Yes, parking is free throughout the entire park. For the ceremony: There is a 15 car parking lot right beside the ceremony area, and the park office is a 2 minute walk from the park office pavilion. You may park at either parking lot. We do kindly ask that if you are able to walk well and are in good health to allow the ones who aren’t to park at the park office pavilion lot. Again, the parking lot at the park office is about a 2 minute walk to the ceremony area. For the reception: if you are staying at the lodge, we ask that you park at the lodge for the reception. Guests who are not staying at the lodge may use the picnic parking lot that is right above the acorn pavilion. There is a drop off road to the acorn pavilion for those that will need to be dropped off close by.
Our wedding is RSVP only to accommodate those listed on our guest list. If your invitation included a plus one, then yes, as it will say on your invitation.
We do! The lodge at Montgomery Bell is brand new, and we have about 35 rooms blocked out for any guests that need them. If you would like to get one, let us know ASAP, so we can have a total of how many rooms to keep. The rooms will run from $100-140 depending on size needed. You can learn more about other places to stay if needed, on our travel page.

Well we do not have any transportation services ordered, please let us know if you need any and we will figure something out.
