Samuel moved to Tennessee summer of 2020. He googled churches for weeks, and finally found Long Hollow. He started going to a young adult life group at LH. In August, Sydney started going to that same lifegroup. They became close friends afterwards, and started hanging out in the same circle of friends.

In November of 2020, Samuel and Sydney started to really get to know each other, and were hanging out in the same friend group multiple times a week! Sam started to see things about Sydney that attracted him to her, and the same for sydney. Flirting began between the two of them, and friends began to notice. Everyone in the lifegroup kept asking them when they would date ahaha! Finally in the middle to the end of December, Sam made his move and asked her out. The rest is history!

As soon as Sam and Sydney started dating they knew this wasn’t just another relationship. They knew from the first date that this was forever kinda stuff. Everything lined up... dreams, beliefs, personalities, and they just knew. We knew we didn’t wanna just date for years, since we knew we wanted to marry each other. So the marriage talks began, and the planning did too! We decided that we wanted to be married by the end of this year, so we decided on a short engagement. We found a ring, and sam planned the sweetest proposal! We took a trip to look at our venue with sydney’s family, and he popped the question there. 💗💍
