University of Mary Washington
Take a stroll through the place where it all began! The University of Mary Washington holds a special place in our hearts, since it’s where we met and shared so many wonderful memories. The campus is just a short, scenic walk (less than half a mile!) from both the church and our reception venue. It's beautiful, historic, and easy to explore on foot. Not in the mood to walk? No worries! Feel free to relax and enjoy the day from one of the iconic Adirondack chairs scattered across the campus. Street parking is available along College Avenue.
Umi Japanese Cuisine
One of our favorite sushi spots in Fredericksburg! This was where our first date was back in the Fall of 2020, we spent over 3 hours sharing sushi, laughing, and just getting to know each other! Some of our favorite sushi rolls are the spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, and the surf and turf speciality roll!

A. Smith Bowman Distillery, located in Fredericksburg, Virginia, is a family-owned distillery known for its award-winning bourbons, rum, gin, and vodka. Founded in 1934, it's the oldest and most award-winning distillery in Virginia. They offer tours, tastings, and a gift shop! Their Mary Hite Bowman Caramel Bourbon Cream Liqueur is one of our favorites, perfect for coffee and even over ice cream! If bourbon is more your style, their Isaac Bowman Virginia Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Port Barrel Finished, is sweet with flavors of jam and caramel, a favorite of the Father of the Bride!
