Julia gave Kellie a bag of “let’s be friends because I think you’re super cool” cookies, and the rest is history. They spent their wild years together exploring Houston and going on adventures. There’s nothing Julia couldn’t talk to Kellie about. She is Julia’s sister from another mister. She is kind, spontaneous, and she lights up every room. She is a lot of things to Julia and Julia is so grateful for a flawless friend like her.

She’s there. There’s no one else who is truly more compassionate, loving, and warm than Tammy. Julia couldn’t ask for anything more in a friend like her.

Imagine years of Parent Trap but with two people who look nothing alike. Stephanie and Julia bonded over food, pranks, hand-written letters, and forced cuddles. Stephanie is Julia’s emotional support friend. She’s the sweetest, most thoughtful, and the best at tricking Julia on a regular basis.

My team! Diane and Julia met at their first job as engineers and they were also roommates. They are the dynamic duo of gathering friends together and getting into good trouble. From volleyball to all out costume parties to wild horse hunting in Utah to surprise nerf gun wars…if it sounds kind of weird and kind of fun, these two had a blast doing it! Ups, downs, good times, and bad times, these two road the rollercoaster together. Julia wouldn’t trade it for anything. Diane is one of the most thoughtful friends who will always go the extra mile – and the extra shot!

Anha and Julia met right before the world ended and became fast friends. They share a big love for cooking food, being silly, and telling funny stories. Beyond the laughter, they learned so much about each other’s lives and continue to connect more every day. The two of them do not hold back on being their truest form when they are together – plush robes, fish sticks, and true crime. Anha and Julia also plunged into the world of live streaming. Landry is Jennifer and Patrick’s first baby girl and Julia’s newest niece. Everyone will fall in love with her at first sight! She is sweet, curious, and already loves to travel near and far. Landry is celebrating her first birthday around the same time as the wedding, so be sure to wish her a happy birthday!

Simon is Sydney’s younger brother. He’s one extremely athletically gifted person. From tennis to basketball to snowboarding to skateboarding… and now golf. Simon has always been a talker; he has landed himself a great position as an executive financial recruiter. Being the ultra-competitive person that he is, he’s able to excel quite nicely. Sydney and Julia are honored to have Simon officiate their wedding. There is no better person to speak at their ceremony and to marry them.

Zed and Syd met during a snowboarding trip at Park City, UT. After they met, some time went by because Zed had just had his first kid Zayden. After reconnecting, they started to realize that they had quite a few of the same hobbies… of course snowboard… then cycling… and hunting… and hiking… and golfing… and partying… and last but certainly not the least… tequila. If you don’t think tequila is a hobby… you obviously haven’t been on a tequila search with these two.

Cole and Syd met 10 years ago at Last Concert Café. Cole is a huge proponent of why Syd’s white side shines so brightly… Why he has multiple Cowboy hats, boots, and camping stuff. Turns out Syd and Cole shares quite a few of the same hobbies as well, but the one unique hobby that he shares outside this group of groomsmen is the love for Porsche. Car fanatics, but more over Porsche fanatics share a deep sense of satisfaction when a beautiful automobile is put together.

Tom and Syd met 10 years ago soon after Sydney came back to Houston from Tennis. He loves to have a great time and he’s a great cook. He loves hosting at his home and he’s quite the social butterfly. He definitely exudes great energy especially when there’s great EDM on. You will surely find Tom bouncing around the wedding.
Gilbert Fung

Gilbert and Syd met long ago when they were in High School. Syd’s Mom used to take him to the original “Fung’s Kitchen Café” down in the Land of Sugar. Gilbert has known Syd the absolute longest in his circle. They share the most extra food with their other best friend Dee Cee. It was once said… I need to meet this Gilbert guy, with the amount of food ya’ll eat… he’s got to be huge!!! Well, he’s not, he’s just as tall and lanky as Syd is. Their favorite foods involve A5 Waygu, Fois Gras, Uni, and Caviar… and if Dee Cee is involved… Gold Flakes.
Daniel "Dee Cee" Chen

Syd met the “House of Chen”… aka Daniel “Dee Cee” Chen through Gilbert. For a few years and throughout the Pandemic, the three of them: Syd, Dee Cee, and Gilbert have probably been on more dinner dates than a married couple. Champagne… no problem… rare spirits… no problem… hard to find foods… no problem. Dee Cee has made quite the name for himself in the restaurant building industry, but the best part is he drinks as hard as he works.

Jay and Syd met through Tom and soon became JTS. If there was to be a night out… those three were there. Jay is one of the hardest working and generous people Syd knows. He’s always there for his friends, he knows how to make everyone laugh, and he definitely knows how to have a good time.
