Our Story

February 26, 2024 John came with my friends and I to watch the sunrise on the Blue Ridge Parkway. They hinted to him that I might be interested and took this candid of us in conversation.

March 7, 2024 Selfie from our first date where we made breakfast in the mountains. We ironically saw S+J spray painted on a boulder.

March 20, 2024 Our second date was a canoe trip down the James River. We made dinner together after.

April 15, 2024 John took me on my first hunting trip during turkey season in VA.

April 20, 2024 I loved going to watch John at his track meets. This meet I got introduced to his parents and grandparents.

May 4, 2024 My first trip to the farm. I was thrilled seeing all the cows.

May 7, 2024 The day we first said I love you.

June 27, 2024 First family vacation with the Hicks to Hatteras Island. Clearly John ate too much ice cream!

July 1, 2024 John's first day of work at the bank. So proud!

July 19, 2024 My first time cooking dinner for John and I was oh so nervous he wouldn't enjoy it. He ended up loving it.

August 31, 2024 John's first trip to visit my family in Florida. His introduction was a UF football game.

September 21, 2024 The day we went and looked at wedding rings to see what style we liked.

September 29, 2024 John took me hunting again, but this time I was the one behind the trigger.

March 8, 2025 Fast forward a couple of months and here we are a few moments after getting engaged. Yay! A total surprise.
