Thursday Casual Pub Gathering

Casual, come as you are!

We know many of you, especially our friends and family traveling from the U.S., will be making a big journey to celebrate with us, and we’d love extra time together beyond the whirlwind of the wedding weekend. So on Thursday afternoon, we’ll be gathering for a relaxed pub hang! This isn’t an official wedding event, just an open-door, “come whenever, stay however long” kind of meet-up so we can hug you, catch up, and ease into the celebrations together. Plan: We’ll be posted up from 1:00 PM at The Cleeve Hill Golf Club. Address: Wickfield Lane Cheltenham GL52 3PW England The golf club is mostly outdoors in a lovely beer garden with amazing views over Cheltenham, the Severn River, and the Malvern Hills. Inside, there’s a small bar and light bites for purchase. Feel free to BYOB and bring picnic blankets if you’d like! If you park in the lot, register your parking at the bar. As long as you spend at least £2 on a pint or snack, parking is free. We’re expecting beautiful weather, but if anything changes, we’ll keep everyone updated. Wear comfy clothes and shoes good for walking in case we embark on a little Cleeve Hill stroll.

Welcome Party

7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Our Welcome Party is for everyone, whether you’ve traveled across the ocean or live just down the road, we would truly love for you to stop by. Jamie and I spend most of the year far away from so many of the people we love, so this weekend is really about soaking up as much time together as possible. Join us at The Beehive for drinks and good company! We recommend having dinner beforehand (unless you’re part of the wedding party attending the rehearsal dinner), then come by for a relaxed evening of mingling and merriment. This is the night where Jamie’s people meet Sydney’s people... we want you to make friends, put names to faces, and say hello so that when the wedding day arrives, you’ll already recognize a few friendly faces. And of course… we’ll all head back to our hotels at a reasonable hour (in theory 😄) because the big day is the very next day!

Wedding Ceremony & Reception

1:30 pm - 11:00 pm

This event will be "funky formal" or "countryside formal", if you will. Please, have fun with how you dress because you know Jamie and I love a bit of fashion flair! The reception will follow and will take place outside and in a marquee tent. Please keep an eye on the weather and dress accordingly, we're praying for a beautiful sunny day but if there is rain...the show must go on!

Please arrive to the venue (house) between 1pm and 1:30pm. The ceremony will begin at 2pm in the front garden. There will be a cocktail hour right after, guests will make their way into the tent in the field behind the house for light bites and drinks. Then dinner, speeches, and dancing will follow! We are planning on having a classic hog roast for our dinner, with salads and sides, including some vegetarian options. Please note on your RSVP if you will be declining the hog roast and predominantly eating the veggie options.
