Flight
Guests traveling to Florence have a few great airport options depending on their travel preferences and flight availability. Florence Airport (FLR) — Amerigo Vespucci Airport The closest and most convenient airport to the city center, located about 20–30 minutes from most hotels and venues in Florence. This is a great option for guests looking for the easiest arrival experience, though flights may be more limited and sometimes require a connection through another European city. Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) — Leonardo da Vinci International Airport Rome’s main international airport often offers the most direct international flight options and competitive pricing. From Rome, guests can take the high-speed train directly to Florence, with travel time averaging approximately 1.5–2 hours. Trains are comfortable, easy to navigate, and run frequently throughout the day. We recommend booking flights and train tickets early for the best pricing and availability. If traveling by train from Rome, both Trenitalia and Italo offer convenient high-speed service to Florence.
Travel Note
For guest staying in Florence before the wedding weekend, getting around Florence is very easy, and the city is highly walkable. Please note that Florence’s historic city center is a restricted traffic zone (ZTL), meaning only authorized vehicles such as private drivers, taxis, and approved ride services are permitted access within many areas of the city center. Meaning rental cars are not allowed and you will get a fine from the city. Taxis and private car services are readily available and are often the easiest way to travel with luggage or for late-night transportation. Uber Black and private driver services are available. This is our recommend way of transportation to Hotel Tenuta di Artimino. Guests who wish to explore Tuscany at their own pace may also choose to rent a car. If driving to Artimino, complimentary parking is available at Hotel Tenuta di Artimino.
