Florence’s streets are primarily cobblestone, so we recommend block heels, wedges, or comfortable dress shoes for walking around the city. The wedding venue has grass and gravel, so we recommend block heels, wedges, or comfortable dress shoes for walking around the venue.
Taxis and private drivers are the easiest transportation options within Florence. Uber availability is limited, though Uber Black and private car services are available.
Guests may fly directly into Florence Airport (FLR) — Amerigo Vespucci Airport — or into Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), which offers the most international flight options. From Rome, guests can easily take the high-speed train to Florence. Pisa International Airport (PSA) is also an option located about one hour from Florence.
We recommend taking the high-speed Frecciarossa or Italo train from Rome to Florence. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours and trains run frequently throughout the day from Rome Termini Station to Florence Santa Maria Novella Station.
While we love your little ones, our wedding weekend events will be adults only unless otherwise noted on your invitation.
