Travel Note
Shuttles will be provided for all wedding events. If you prefer to drive, valet parking is available at the Detroit Athletic Club. Please let the valet know you are attending the McKay / Gilbert Wedding. To the Ceremony: Shuttle service will run from the Detroit Athletic Club (DAC) to St. Aloysius Church. The final shuttle will depart at 2:30 PM. If you prefer to drive, street parking is available near the church. Guests staying at The Westin Book Cadillac Hotel will not need a shuttle, as the hotel is located next door to the church. From the Ceremony to the Reception: The ceremony is expected to conclude around 3:45–4:00 PM. A shuttle will be available immediately following the ceremony to transport guests from the church back to the DAC. This shuttle is intended for guests staying at the DAC, as cocktail hour will not begin until 5:00 PM. Shuttle service for cocktail hour will begin around 4:50 PM, running from The Westin Book Cadillac Hotel to the DAC and cycling throughout the evening, with the last shuttle departing from the DAC at 1:45am.

This hotel is located in the same facility as the reception. When calling to book your reservation, be sure to let them know you are part of the McKay / Gilbert Wedding. The DAC has a strict dress code as outlined below... NOT PERMITTED | Denim of any color; jean jackets; sweatpants; hooded sweatshirts; T-shirts; tattered, torn or cutoff clothing, cargo pants/shorts, bandanas, hats or caps; tank tops; casual footwear such as plastic and rubber flip-flops. MEN | Properly tucked collared shirt and tailored slacks. Jacket required in The Gallery and The Tap Room. WOMEN | Blouse or sweater, slacks, skirt or dress mid-thigh length or longer. Leggings are acceptable when worn as undergarments. Suit, business attire or dress required in the Main Lobby, Reading Room, The Gallery and The Tap Room. Women’s dress hats are acceptable. CHILDREN (Ages 14 and under) Boys – Pants with a button-down or polo-style shirt. Girls – Pants with shirt; dress or skirt.
