We met the modern way—on Bumble—in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2021. Our first date was supposed to be at a cute local bar (that Sydney suggested… which turned out to be closed). Luckily, Collin was diligent and made reservations at our now-favorite spot: Trophy Brewing. From there, everything just clicked. In the early days, we packed in the fun—visiting the North Carolina State Fair, going to a Hurricanes game, and even braving a haunted corn maze together. Collin says what stood out to him most was how genuinely happy Sydney seemed about everything. For Sydney, it was Collin’s kindness and how easy he was to talk to. We both knew early on this was it. Since then, we’ve built a life that’s full of shared adventures—big and small. Our favorite memory (so far) is getting engaged on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. Collin planned the whole thing as a surprise, complete with beachside margaritas under a cabana (Sydney’s dream moment). These days, we do just about everything together. Sydney’s taught Collin how to sew, and Collin has taught Sydney… well, pretty much everything else. We love golfing, gardening, boogie boarding, and taking long walks through our neighborhood. More than anything, we love being a team.
