We met on a Carnival Cruise! The moment the horn sounded, and the sail-away party kicked off, I saw him. One glance and something in me just clicked. I was determined to make him mine! Fate intervened - and so did the good Lord. My family had an excursion in Costa Maya that went sideways, so we all returned to the port. I wasn't ready to head back to the ship, so I wandered over to the swim up pool bar. I turned and looked across the bar and there he was. Dancing, singing and living his best life to Shut Up and Dance. It was like the universe dropped him right into my line of sight. I didn't hesitate and motioned for him to come over - and he did!!! From that moment, we were inseparable. When the cruise ended, neither of us wanted to let go of what we found, so we didn't. We decided to give long distance a chance, and somehow, the miles made us stronger. The first year we traveled back and forth, every month, NC to MD, MD to NC. I was so surprised when he popped the question. Now here we are - engaged and building a life that started with a sail-away party, a chaotic excursion and a song that will forever be ours. God knew what he was doing when he put us in each other's lives.
