Stratton Mountain (5 Village Lodge Road, Stratton, VT) has over 640 acres of skiable terrain. Around 40% of their trails are classified as novice-friendly, so even if you're not the best skier or boarder, you can likely find a trail for you (even Sydney can). They also have snowmobile tours, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, and snow tubing. Bromley Mountain (124 Bromley Lodge Road, Peru, VT) is a bit smaller than Stratton, and another great mountain for any skill level or age. It is only a 15-minute drive from Manchester. They offer equipment rentals and lessons.

We had lunch here when we toured wedding venues in Manchester and it was delicious! RoadRunner (4961 Main Street, Manchester Center, VT) is our fave casual spot in Manchester for lunch or dinner. Vegetarian and vegan friendly :)

Hildene - The Lincoln Family Home (1005 Hildene Road, Manchester, VT) Enjoy historical exhibits about Abraham Lincoln as well as a tour of Robert and Mary Lincoln's home and grounds. Included in admission and if you bring your own equipment, you can access snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails. American Museum of Fly Fishing (4070 Main Street, Manchester, VT) Learn about the rich history of fly fishing, which began in Manchester in the 1960s. Southern Vermont Arts Center (860 Southern Vermont Arts Center Dr, Manchester, VT) An art gallery displaying multiple disciplines of classic and modern art. The gallery is inside a colonial revival style home and has exhibitions on the grounds as well as inside. There is also a cafe restaurant on site.

Northshire Bookstore (4869 Main St, Manchester Center, VT) An impressive bookstore selling new, used, and rare books. They also sell games, gifts, local goodies and house the Colburn Cafe. Manchester Designer Outlets (65 Depot St, Manchester Center, VT) Some of the outlet shops are located in this plaza, and there are other outlets located throughout Manchester.
