FAQs

If you have any other questions that are not listed here, go ahead and reach out to my maid of honor, Sloane Skalstad, at 443-761-1491.
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask our guests to wear ALL black formal attire. Think suits, ties and elegant dresses. We want everyone to feel their best and help us create a beautiful, celebratory atmosphere!

Question

Is the ceremony/reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our venue offers the best of both worlds! The ceremony will take place indoors in the ballroom at Overhills Mansion. Afterward, we’ll celebrate with a reception that flows both inside and outside! This way, our guests can enjoy the charm of the outdoors while still celebrating in comfort.

Question

Will there be an apron dance?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be including the Apron Dance as part of our celebration. This tradition gives us a joyful way to connect with everyone and allows our guest to send us into married life surrounded by good wishes and laughter.

Question

Do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Yes, pretty please! We kindly ask that you RSVP by the date so we can plan accordingly. We will be finalizing seating and dinner counts based on responses. If we do not receive your RSVP through the website, text/call, or mail we may not be able to save you a seat (or a plate!).

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with our nearest and dearest! If your invitation includes a plus one, their name will be stated. We wish we could invite everyone, but we are keeping things intimate. Thank you for your understanding and being part of our special day!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to make our wedding an adults only celebration. We hope this gives you a chance to relax, let loose, and enjoy a night off. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We will be celebrating with a full open bar, so bring your dancing shoes and get ready to raise a glass with us.

Question

Will I be able to leave my car at the venue?

Answer

The venue has kindly allowed guests to leave their cars overnight, so if you plan to enjoy the celebration and prefer not to drive home, you’re more than welcome to do so as long as the vehicle is picked up the day after celebration in the morning.
