FAQs

If you have any questions, other than what is listed here, please reach out to Sydney or David.
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is "black tie optional" - we look forward to seeing our friends and family look their best! For the ladies, we would love it if you would wear a gown in a shade of purple, pink, blue, or green. We would appreciate if guests would also refrain from wearing patterns, lace, or sequins. A moodboard and color palette is available for reference as you are selecting your attire. Please reach out to Sydney if you would like to see those, or if you have any specific questions about the dress code. Bold accessories, silhouettes, and styles are HIGHLY encouraged!!! For the men, we would prefer to see you in a tuxedo or suit, in solid black or solid navy. Neutral accessories recommended as well.

Question

What events will be hosted before and after the wedding?

Answer

A detailed schedule for the wedding weekend will be included in your formal invitation.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes! If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Is there a hotel block at the Esperanza?

Answer

Right now, all the rooms in our hotel block at the Esperanza are spoken for. Please reach out to us if you are interested in staying at the Esperanza, and we can explore our options to add to the block.

Question

Should I stay in Cabo San Lucas, or San Jose Del Cabo?

Answer

This is entirely up to you, but we recommend you stay in Cabo San Lucas. Our wedding weekend events will take place in Cabo San Lucas, which is about a 20 minute drive from most parts of San Jose del Cabo. Cabo San Lucas has more resorts and nightlife, whereas San Jose del Cabo is known for their art galleries and local shopping.

Question

What is the typical March weather in Cabo?

Answer

During the day, it will feel warm - mid-80s and very sunny. Perfect pool weather! Fortunately, our wedding will take place at sunset, where it will cool down significantly. Evenings will feel mild, particularly near the ocean. We advise keeping jackets and shawls accessible throughout the evening.

Question

How do I get to the Esperanza on the wedding day?

Answer

We recommend arranging a taxi service in advance, to and from your lodging. Uber is also an option, but is typically less reliable in Cabo. If you do not plan to drink, there is valet service available for your rental car at the Esperanza.

Question

Can I take and post photos on social media?

Answer

During the ceremony, we request that you refrain from taking photos or using your phone. We HIGHLY encourage taking and posting photos, videos, and more at the reception!

Question

What is the best way to get around?

Answer

Taxis are prevalent and affordable in Cabo! Uber is also an option but typically less reliable. Remember to bring cash for tips.

Question

Do I need Pesos? What about cash?

Answer

No, USD is accepted almost everywhere in Cabo. We also recommend keeping cash on hand for tips.

Question

What is the COVID policy in Cabo?

Answer

We recommend you keep masks on hand while in Cabo. Many businesses, like grocery stores and malls, still require mask. Most restaurants and tourist activities do not though.
