Lana Hanson

Maid of Honor

I met Lana during my first week of college at the University of Oregon in General Chemistry. I didn’t have any friends yet, and was desperately searching to find someone that I clicked with. I entered class that day, and she sat next to me. We started talking and I knew this girl was about to change my life forever. Over the past 7 years we have grown closer than I ever could have possibly imagined. We went through hell and back, and now we are entering the biggest adventure of our lives thus far. Lana became my roommate, holder of my secrets, the sister I never had, and my very best friend. Living life without her now is something I never want to imagine. She means the world to me-and this is why she is one of my Maids of Honor.

Ben Rudolph

Best Man

Ben and I have been friends for over 18 years. We met sometime during youth soccer and attended the same schools. We've worked many jobs together having had quite a few adventures along the way. Ben is the kind of friend who always looks out for your best interest. He is intelligent, practical, and grounded. I can always trust his advice because I know that he himself would follow it. In many ways Ben is a trail blazer and I have been lucky enough find myself traveling alongside him on more than a few occasions. Our friendship grew tremendously during the four summers we spent together fishing in Oregon and Alaska. I would gladly sail the seas with Mr. Ben. Most of all, I value Ben’s honesty, humor and admire his dedication to his goals.

Kelsie Pead

Maid of Honor

In the small town of Astoria, Kelsie and I met during middle school but our true friendship didn’t begin to flourish until high school. You see, I have always looked up to Kelsie. She’s an amazing athlete, student, and person. Yet, it wasn’t until later that I truly understood who this incredible woman was. I’ve had the honor to live life beside her for the past 10 years, and it has honestly changed who I am today. I have never met a person so willing to go the extra mile for another human, to maintain a relationship thousands of miles apart, all while making it feel like we haven’t skipped a beat. I couldn’t live the life I now know without her, because she is so intertwined into every aspect of who I am. I love her to the moon and back, and now she’s one of my Maids of Honor.

Brett Perez

Best Man

Brett and I have been soul brothers since we met and despite being separated by many miles for countless years we have always stayed connected. We share a love for obtaining knowledge and listening to philosophers, who’s ideas we often unpack together in turn helping us make sense of our own lives. We use one another to bounce around ideas and evaluate our goals and plans for the future. Our positive and supportive friendship has helped guide me towards finding my true self and meeting hardship with determination and steadiness. Brett's drive for meeting his goals goes unmatched as well as his ability to recollect factual information pertaining to historical events, making discussions with him incredibly insightful. Lastly, Brett introduced me to Ram Dass for which I am forever grateful.

Sarah Rosenthal

Bridesmaid

I was blessed with Sarah the day I entered the University of Oregon. I walked into my dorm terrified as to who my random roommate would be, and it couldn’t have turned out better. For the next 4 years we were roommates with Lana, and this trio was something that brought me a sense of belonging only true friendship can provide. She pushed me out of my comfort zone, and helped me to live the true college experience. I never could have made it through college without her by my side. She was my partner in crime, my late night Oreo eating companion, and my safe place to return home to.

Jasyn Gohl

Groomsman & brother of the bride

Through my time with Ashlyn's family, I have gotten to know Jasyn as he's gotten older and the dude is awesome. He's hard working, loyal and knows how to let go and have fun when the time is right. He has an adventurous spirit and is often the voice of reason among his peers. Don't be fooled by his shyness, for underneath lies a man of humor, wit and an unmatched intelligence. I am happy and proud to call him my brother in law and look forward to spending more time together.

Jenna Laver

Bridesmaid

Jenna and I met in a youth homeless drop-in center during my time at the University of Oregon. The relationship that grows from a shared passion for service is one that is unique in and of itself. She and I have seen and experienced the heartache and victories that come with living life alongside street impacted youth. Together we learned when enough is enough, and when we need to go the extra mile to make someone feel known and understood. Living life alongside Jenna for the past 5 years has been inspiring. She is committed to her friendships no matter the cost, always making me laugh, and dance until the party is over.

Antonio Lopez

Groomsman

Antonio and I became friends during track in middle school. He was kind and generous and we soon began to spend time with each other every day. We share a love for soccer, hiking, and often find ourselves out at the wetlands or on Saddle Mountain when we are together. Antonio has a heart of gold. He is kind, virtuous, patient and pragmatic. His principles and strong moral compass have helped me mature and progress into my true self. He is an invaluable friend and an honorable person. I am proud and grateful for his friendship.

Kamila Swerdloff

Bridesmaid & sister of the groom

I love Kamila. She and I met after Noah and I had been dating for awhile, and I just remember thinking how talented the woman was standing before me. She plays the piano like no one I have ever heard, has a laugh that fills the room, and a passion for creativity and spontaneity that truly inspires me. We share a love for sentimental books, dancing, tequila, and her brother. I absolutely can't wait to have her as a sister.

Logan Stegner

Groomsman

I met Logan the day I signed our lease to live together, and ended up remaining roommates and very good friends for the remainder of my college days. Our apartment was always lively and it fostered an environment for learning, social gatherings and feasts. Logan and I got along like old friends, despite just meeting. We share many of the same interests including the environment, cooking and teaching methods. Logan is one of the most optimistic and hard workers I have ever met. His thirst for knowledge is unquenchable and his patience is unmatched. Easily the most optimistic and positive human I have ever encountered.

Kiera Olson

Bridesmaid

I see photos of Kiera and I as infants lying next to each other, and its hard for me to remember my first memory with her because she has always been by my side. As young girls we would dream about the day we would have the chance to stand beside one another on our wedding days, and now this day is finally here. This relationship is one like no other. I know her inside and out, as she does me. No matter the distance or time apart, we always come back together and we always will.

Carson Whisler

Groomsman

Carson and I met on the east side of town in preschool so many years ago. We quickly became friends and spent much of our time on walks on the Cathedral Tree trail with my mother and sister, where we wore our matching berets and rode our dog Kasha through the trees. Even back then, his mind shined brightest amongst my peers. Measuring each word carefully and guided by his moral compass, Carson set an example early on of maturity. He is an exemplary friend who has given me council through much of my young life. He is patient and thoughtful and I have always been proud to be his friend.

Aurora Cameron

Bridesmaid

There isn’t a moment in my life that I can remember not knowing Aurora. Her parents and mine were friends before we were born, and naturally we became friends nearly immediately. I went to pre-school, grade school, middle school, and high school with this amazing woman. The reliability and comfort that comes with a relationship built on 25 years of life is something very unique. She is one of those people that you can go without seeing for months or even years, but as soon as we reunite-its like nothing has changed. I value our friendship so very much and feel so blessed to have experienced the love, grace, goofiness and beauty that is Aurora.

Cody Fox

Groomsman

This cat is a one of a kind ball of spontinaeity who's positivity and call to adventure intoxicates everyone around him. Cody and I have been friends since middle school, where we roamed the streets looking for trouble and finding ways to make a few dollars to pay for rock n bowl. Today, we both share a love for art and ideas and often create together through many different mediums. We are usually are out exploring in the woods, hiking or looking for some way to apply our creativity. Cody is kind and extremely generous. He finds happiness in making others laugh, and by helping others. Our friendship is strengthened by our fluidity and willingness to go the extra mile. I have never met anyone as selfless as Cody, there is no truer friend.

Nicholas Strange

Groomsman

Nick and I's friendship took off a few years after high school. We spent most of the 2017 summer together in Astoria where our friendship was forged through yoga with Ute, 3-Way IPA and adventures along the Oregon Coast. Nick and I share a love for creating delicious meals, cocktails, roaming the outdoors and sharing our thoughts and ideas about the world and how it ought to be. He is generous and a great listener who takes things to heart and offers thoughtful advice. I am grateful for his friendship not only with me but with Ashlyn as well. His genuine character and honesty are what I admire most about him. He and his family alike are very generous and extraordinary to be around.
