Our Story

Noah and I have known each other for quite some time, from middle school to be exact. Being part of a small community was a blessing for us, and always will be. We have the same friends, know each others teachers and mentors, and have had the unique opportunity to grow close with one another's families prior to marriage. We went to different colleges, but came back together after graduation in 2017 where we lived in a tiny studio in Portland, OR. We began our lives there together, and that place is something both of us will always cherish. He supported me through my full time job while studying for the MCAT to apply for medical school, and I stood by his side while he went to Alaska to have the opportunity of a lifetime. Once I was accepted to medical school, we took off for our 3 month trip to South America where we grew in ways we never could have imagined while seeing some of the most incredible wonders of this world. Knowing we were about to embark on our new adventure in Utah, we wanted to do it in a way that fit us best. We bought a travel trailer and together remodeled it into our very own tiny home, one we now share together. This is our story and it has taken a village to create these memories we now call our life. We are so excited to share this day with the people who have impacted us in more ways than they will ever know.

The Proposal

July 3, 2019

On July 3rd, 2019 Noah took me out to my favorite place to watch the sunset--Fort Columbia, WA. We walked toward our usual spot, he helped me up the rocky cliffs that led to the unbeatable view of the Columbia River with Astoria in the distance. I walked to the edge as I always do and he came up behind me and placed a handmade flower crown upon my head. He then ran back to grab the "camera" to take a picture of me, and as I turned around he was down on one knee with a box in his hand. He shared his heartfelt feelings and his hope to marry me. It was the easiest question I have ever had the opportunity to answer.
