Travel Note
(Open Daily, 7AM-2PM) If you’re staying the weekend and are looking for a place to grab a bite to eat for breakfast or lunch, look no further than Bee's! This is a local favorite that is so special to Maddie and Nat as we have spent many mornings enjoying coffee and breakfast at this spot. Try Nat's favorite, "Big Country-Style Breakfast Burrito" or their variety of offered pastries.
Travel Note
(Open Friday/Saturday 11 AM-8 PM, or Sunday 11 AM-7 PM) If you’re looking for a dinner spot nearby, this is a great choice! They’ve got good portions and delicious food. Maddie and Nat have spent nights here with friends or casual date nights together eating the best BBQ in town. Consider the “Dirty Frites” or a meat plate with a side of jalapeño mac. You can’t go wrong!
Travel Note
(Open all weekend, times may vary) This is a popular spot that serves lunch and dinner. We love meeting friends and family here! It can get a little busier, especially on weekend nights, so we would recommend calling ahead or arriving earlier. There’s a small outdoor waiting area where you can sit and order drinks while you wait for your table, and the food is definitely worth the wait. South Gate offers a wide variety of meal options, including burgers, wood fired pizzas, and delicious fish tacos. There are veggie options too! They also serve a variety of local craft beers. Consider eating like Maddie and ordering “Beer Cheese and Pretzels” to start, the “Pacific Cod Fish Tacos” as a main, and the “House Made Crème Brûlée” for dessert. And don’t forget the local sour offered at the time!
Travel Note
(Open Friday/Saturday 11 AM-9 PM, Closed Sunday) By far our number one restaurant in Oakhurst, and easily has the best Mexican food in town. We eat here whenever we have a chance and we are always satisfied with our experience here. This is another popular spot, so if you’d like to try it out we would recommend reserving online/ by phone prior, going in smaller groups, or arriving earlier in the evening to accommodate the wait time for a larger table. We cant say enough how much we love this place. Delicious drinks and food every time we go! Eat like Nat and order the “Wet Super Burrito,” like Maddie and order the “Salsa Roja Enchiladas” with an extra side of beans, or try one of their specials!
Travel Note
(Open Daily 9 AM-8 PM) If you’re looking for something much more casual for lunch or dinner, this is the perfect place! Mariscos is our favorite place for a quick bite in town. If you’re craving Mexican food and don’t feel like going to a sit-down restaurant, this would be our recommendation!
