The Roman Baths

The first king of all England, King Edgar, was crowned on this site in 973. Queen Elizabeth II visited in 1973 to recognize 1,000(!) years of the English monarchy. The Abbey (and Bath itself) was impacted by "The Blitz" during the Second World War - a German bombing campaign against the United Kingdom. It has been beautifully restored. So worth checking out!
