With a relatively small wedding, we wanted to offer our guests the flexibility to select lodging that aligns with their brand preferences and ideal cost. On our wedding guide, we have several hotel options. We recommend booking your lodging a few weeks/months in advance as summer is tourist season for this region in England and accommodations will book quickly. If you have more questions about the lodging, feel free to reach out to Jake and Emily.
That is truly up to you. Our wedding will begin early afternoon on Saturday the 26th and we are offering a welcome party the evening prior, but we want our guests to spend as much or as little time in Bath as they'd like. In our opinion, Bath can be easily seen and explored over the course of a weekend. The UK is 5-8 hours ahead of the U.S. depending on your timezone, so we recommend planning your travel in consideration of jetlag and what works best for your schedule.
Yes! We are excited to host a casual get together at The Stable the evening before our wedding. Drinks and late night snacks will be provided. See more information regarding the location and attire recommendations on the Schedule tab of the website.
We ask our guests to wear cocktail attire (midi to floor length dresses for women and suits for men). Our venue has a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, so we recommend wearing shoes that can navigate groomed gravel and grass. Although temperatures in the English countryside are the warmest in July, there is always a chance of rain so we recommend bringing a travel umbrella to the ceremony.
We wanted our wedding to feel like a summer garden party! Visit our Pinterest board for more inspiration on our recommended styles and colors. We of course ask you to refrain from wearing white, but otherwise feel free to wear any colors.
In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one they will appear when you RSVP online.
The hottest month of the year in Bath is July, with an average high of 69°F and low of 55°F. Chance of rain is always possible in Bath, so please plan accordingly with an umbrella. Pack a shawl, cardigan, or light jacket just in case of cooler evening temperatures.
We kindly ask that you do not bring any gifts to the wedding. If you are interested in gifting us something to help us celebrate our marriage, you can visit our registry and easily send these gifts to our address in Oregon. This will save you suitcase space (and ours!).
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time so you can have time to find your seat. The ceremony will begin at 3PM so please plan to arrive by 2:30PM.
Yes, we will have transportation available from Bath city center to Farleigh House, our venue. Stay tuned for more information!
We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of vegetarian or pork entree. You are able to select your choice of entree and dessert when you RSVP. We will have Neapolitana style pizza provided as a late night snack. Please let us know of any allergies so we can inform our caterers.
Yes! We are planning on live streaming the wedding and will plan to send information to all our friends and family via email in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Stay tuned!
