What should I wear?
Answer
We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is cocktail attire. Ladies can wear long or short formal dresses. Gentlemen can wear a suit and tie.

What are the venue details?
Answer
Both our ceremony and reception will be held at the beautiful Barns at Wesleyan Hills in Middletown, CT (just 3 minutes away from our house!). We will be having an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Cocktail hour will be held both outside on the patio and inside the middle barn. These plans all assume that mother nature cooperates, however there is a indoor backup plan on site just in case.

When should I arrive for the ceremony?
Answer
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm, so we recommend you arrive by 4:15 to give yourself enough time to find a seat. You are welcomed to enter the venue as early as 3:45.

Is there a cell phone policy?
Answer
We are having an "unplugged ceremony" (no phones or cameras please). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say "I do". We have hired professionals to capture this moment with us and we promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like! Be sure to send them over to the "Swanson Wedding 2023" Google Photo Album so the bride and groom can have another piece of this very special day.

Are kids invited?
Answer
We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of immediate family. All family members and plus ones invited will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Is the venue handicap accessible?
Answer
Yes, there is a paved path to the ceremony site and a side entrance to the main barn that does not involve stairs. Guests may also drive their cars up to the ceremony cite to be dropped off at as long as the cars are returned to the lot afterwards. There will be a parking lot attendant available to point out handicapped parking spots as well!

Will there be alternative dietary food options?
Answer
Yes, there will be a variety of food available including gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. If you have specific concerns or allergies, please don't hesitate to email us at atswanson23@gmail.com and we will confer with our caterer.

Answer
Yes! Enjoy a full bar, two specialty cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages on us!

Is there a place to smoke?
Answer
Yes, there is space outside the front entrance with ash trays for guests to smoke cigars/cigarettes.
