Is there a dress code?

Answer

It's a party! Cocktail attire is recommended but wear what makes you feel comfortable and fabulous. While we will be at a zoo there will be mostly cement/asphalt to walk on so bust out your dancing shoes!

Will there be any activities happening that I need to know about?

Answer

Love clinking glasses to see newlyweds kiss? Too bad! To see us smooch please donate a dollar (or more) to our Kiss Fund. All money received will be donated to the Brookfield Zoo to help support their mission.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors? What about rain?

Answer

Provided the weather is lovely the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. In the case of inclement weather all activities will take place indoors. There will be covered transportation provided within the zoo grounds.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests should arrive to the Discovery Center Plaza by 5:30 to be transported to the ceremony location.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is available at the Brookfield Zoo through the South Gate. Please park in the Discovery Center parking lot - South Gate Main Entrance, 3300 Golf Rd, Brookfield, IL 60513.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

All celebration locations are wheelchair accessible. There will be transportation to and from each location via the zoo motor safari.

When should I RSVP by?

Please send your accepts (or regrets) to us by May 13, 2018.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation includes "and Guest" then yes. Please make sure to let us know his or her name by the RSVP deadline, May 13th.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! Please let us know the names and ages of children attending. Note - You may not leave any children at the zoo. No matter how closely they resemble any zoo residents. :)

Yes! Please, please, please let us know! (Even if we know your restrictions already)

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Take lots of photos (please just be mindful of the photographers)! When posting on social media please use #IZoo and #Swanifer.

What should/could I do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

Have a bite to eat and a drink with us and the giraffes in Habitat Africa! Zookeepers will be around to answer any questions you may have about these amazing animals.

What if I want to donate to a cause instead of give a gift?

Answer

We would be delighted if you would consider giving a gift to the Brookfield Zoo (or any cause of your choice) instead of purchasing a gift. Please let us know so we can acknowledge your generous gift.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Yes! We have secured a block of rooms at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott. Please see the travel page for more information.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will have a shuttle available to bring guests staying at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott to the Brookfield Zoo in time for the ceremony. We will also offer shuttle services at the end of the evening. See the travel page for more information.
