Taylor Swift always says…sings it best, “I was enchanted to meet you.” Luke absolutely swept Susie off her feet “immediately” with discussions of history and House of the Dragon (Susie loves the Game of Thrones world). After a brief “ghosting” as all millennials love to do, Susie re-sparked the conversation to Luke and his request to get coffee…THAT NIGHT! After some thinking (like 5 seconds), Susie decided to meet Luke…but with a catch, at her favorite tea cafe, not coffee shop - Dobra Tea. Luke arrived with a smile on his face and their first date was full of exciting memories about Susie’s travels and Luke’s love for his heritage. Susie’s heart leapt, Luke suffered through tea he didn’t like, and two people fell in love. Some things Susie loves about Luke are his endless compassion, unconditional love, bond with their cat Louisa, being the best pet dad, his work ethic - especially in his career. He’s selfless, understanding, and comfortable. Luke never fails to show his love by filling up her Stanley with water….every night. She is so excited to have such warmth, love, and laughter in a person for the rest of her life. Some things Luke loves about Susie are is the way she’s transformed his life. Since they met, Susie has opened his eyes to a side of life he never knew existed—one filled with love, pleasure, and grace. She’s become the heart of their little family, nurturing their animals with such natural warmth and care, and bringing a beautiful motherly energy into their home. Susie is the light of Luke’s life—the person he looks forward to seeing every day, the one he shares his dreams, struggles, and everything with in between. He can’t wait to marry her this December and continue building the life they’ve already started together.

Susie began sending Luke ring ideas approximately 1 month into their relationship (she just knew, okay). He was probably freaked out, but she was excited! Fast forward two years and Luke planned a fall photo shoot with their dogs, Che and Nika at Susie‘s favorite park, Hartwood Acres. Fall has always been Susie’s favorite season and their new puppy Nika was growing quickly, so the excuse was to get in a photoshoot! They were met by a lovely photographer and took a cozy autumn walk down to the old horse stables within Hartwood Acres. Here, the photographer said to just be natural taking these pictures and loving our pups. Easy enough! Luke and Susie were in the middle of a photo and giggling when Luke pulled out the black velvet ring box with a gorgeous pear shaped (custom created and designed) gold engagement ring. He asked her if she would marry him and somewhere between LOTS of happy tears, Susie said yes! Their fall photoshoot turned into a lovely engagement session and the start of forever. ♾️🤍✨
