Travel Note
Lodging: We have secured a hotel block at The Cambria Hotel in Portland Downtown Old Port, at 25 Hancock St, Portland, ME 04101. It is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your pups! The Cambria’s phone number is (207)800-3421. Please reserve your room using this Booking Link: https://www.choicehotels.com/reservations/groups/VJ23Z3 Please note: they have waived the resort fees and locked in a lower group rate for our guests. The reservation cutoff date is August 20, 2025! There are a lot of other excellent hotels in the area, so feel free to shop around- but The Cambria has some of the most reasonable rates for that particular weekend during the peak fall season. Flights: Fly into Portland Jetport (PWM) OR For cheaper plane tix (if you’re traveling from far away) and you want an extra taste of the New England before or after the wedding day, we recommend flying into Boston, then taking the Concord Coach Lines bus from the airport or South Station to Portland for $30. It’s a 2-hour ride on a nice, comfy charter bus, and the arrival station (Portland Transportation Center) is very close to our venue. We take the bus from BOS every time we go to Maine, and last winter we took a few extra hours to explore Boston before getting the bus at South Station. It was an awesome day. Train: The Amtrak train also travels in and out of the Portland Transportation Center, if you’re interested! Car: If you’re driving up (or renting a car in Portland) and have never been to Maine before, I would consider taking an extra day to drive up the coast and see Acadia National Park. The wedding is during peak foliage season, and all the trees are going to be beautiful. “Leaf peepers” drive up here from Florida just to see the leaves every year.
