Located right on off The Katy Trail, a great running and walking trail through the city, this is the bar/restaurant where Josh and Susan first met! Known for having one of the best outdoor patios to enjoy a cold drink.
Meso Maya Comida y Copas
One of our favorite Mexican restaurants! There are a few locations of Meso Maya in Dallas, but this location (the original!) is the closest to The Joule. *Reservation is recommended*

There is no such thing as too much tex-mex in Dallas! Request a table on their large, covered patio. *Reservation is required*
Hudson House
Amazing seafood restaurant known for their happy hour! Make sure to order a martini (Josh likes The Classic, Susan's favorite is The Cabo), oysters and their cheeseburger. *Reservation is required*
Royal Blue Grocery - Main Street
Located a block away from The Joule, Royal Blue is a great place to grab a coffee or snack! They even sell TacoDeli (one of Susan and Josh's favorite taco shops) breakfast tacos in the morning- but go early, they sell-out fast!
Commissary
Looking for breakfast/lunch downtown? Commissary has a bunch of options from bagel sandwiches to avocado toast! Walking distance from The Joule.
Bishop Arts District
A great neighborhood to walk around, just a 5 minute drive from The Joule! Lots of cute shops and restaurants. Some of our favorites include: - Lucia (if you're lucky enough to snag a reservation), - Trompo Tacos - Enos Pizza - MELT Ice Cream
Lower Greenville
Another great area to walk around with lots of bars and restaurants! Some of our favorites include - HG Supply (head to the rooftop!) - Truck Yard - Leela's Wine Bar - La La Land Kind Cafe
Dallas Museum Of Art
With constantly rotating galleries, there is always something new to see at the DMA! If you get hungry, head across the street to Klyde Warren Park and check out all the food trucks. Our favorite is Ruthie's Grilled Cheese!
