Milwaukee Art Museum
A classic stop for any trip to Milwaukee. Great collections, special exhibits, and beautiful lake views.
The Oriental Theatre
A beautifully restored 1920s movie palace showing a mix of mainstream releases and independent films.
Boswell Book Company
Great indie bookstore with a mix of new and used books. Close to restaurants, coffeeshops, and the North Point Lighthouse (where we got engaged :)).
Seven Bridges
A popular light hike, through woods and over streams, down to the beach.
North Point Lighthouse
We got engaged here! Situated in the beautiful Lake Park, the light has a very neat history and has a great view from the top of the tower.
Estabrook Beer Garden
A regular haunt of ours, especially when we were first dating since Nick lived right down the road. Get a giant pretzel, a wurst, and meander down to the river. Or just camp out in the sun with a book :)
Milwaukee Public Market
A mix of food and local goods vendors right in the heart of downtown. Plenty of options if you visit as group while looking for lunch! Take a short walk through the Third Ward afterwards to help digest.
Vendetta Coffee Bar
An indulgent spot for a coffee or lunch in the middle of everything Walker's Point has to offer.
Indeed Brewing Company | Pilot Brewery & Taproom
Great stop for a cold one, with new experimental offerings you won't find anywhere else. The main taproom is great, but if you go across the street they have rooftop sister bar called UpTop with views of the city and the Hoan Bridge.
LuLu Cafe and Bar
A laid back spot in our neighborhood with an expansive and approachable menu. Stop at one of the many local shops before or after your meal! Tippecanoe Herbs and Apothecary and the Voyageur Bookshop are favorites of ours.
South Shore Terrace Kitchen & Beer Garden
Another regular haunt of ours. Great local beers, beautiful views of the city and lake, and home to the South Shore Farmer's market on Saturday mornings. Susan recommends the Park Punch and lobster rolls.
Finks
The site of our first date! Plus a great spot for a cocktail on the patio.
